Luis Suarez, Uruguay and Liverpool striker, and one of the finest footballers in the world has recently made himself know also as a serial biter.
During the decider-match between his country and Italy, in the 79th minute of the match (still 0-0 at this time), Suarez jostled the italian defender, Girogio Chienilli and suddenly "grabbed a big chunk of his shoulder for launch"; i guess it didn't taste so good as he sat on the field, expressing some pains he claimed to have sustained in his tooth thereafter. Not so long to this moment did Godin, the Uruguayan team captain scored the only goal of the match which saw Italy off.
FIFA has now opened disciplinary proceedings after this bite and the Uruguayan this time, might face a two-year ban after proper ivestigation.
Yes, "this time"!! Don't forget this isn't the first tme Suarez will be punished for this same offence.
The controversial striker, prior this latest biting, has been charged three times - two times for biting opposition players and once for his racial abuse on Patrice Evra.
He was banned for a number of matches and fined for each offence.
The italians will never find it funny with him especially after they eventually lost the match and got eliminated from the competition.
It wasn't funny during the 2002 World Cup in Korea/Japan when they were beaten on a golden goal rule by S/Korea.
